Transposing chord sequences

Here is our first chord sequence in the key of G:
G is known as the Tonic in this sequence
G......D7......C
G is known as the Tonic in this sequence
Notice that notes D and C are 5 and 7 positions above G.
Suppose we want to transpose these chords to the key of E.
First, locate E in the table - note 8
Now count back from E 5 places - that gives B
Now count back another 2 places - that gives A
So the equivalent chords in the key of E will be
E.....B7.....A
Now do the same for the key of C. (NB - when you get to the top of the table, just continue at the bottom.)
The answer is:
C....G7....F
